Thermal Metrology Division (Diter)

Diter has an area of approximately 400 m2 and the laboratories are distributed in five modules, each one with two rooms with respectively 31 m2 and 47 m2.

The laboratories of Diter are committed to develop activities that contribute to extension of measurement ranges and to achievement of the best measurement and calibration uncertainties.

The Thermal Metrology Division (Diter) has responsibility for the dissemination of two metrological quantities, temperature and humidity divided in three laboratories.

- Thermometry Laboratory (Later) - Contact Thermometry

- Pyrometry Laboratory (Lapir) - Radiation Thermometry

- Hygrometry Laboratory (Lahig) – Humidity

The laboratories of Diter also take every opportunity to participate in international comparisons and key comparisons recognized by the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM), which support the inclusion of their Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMC) in the Key Comparison DataBase (KCDB ) of the BIPM.
