A tutorial course on the evaluation of uncertainty in measurement will be given in PORTUGUESE in the week before the Advanced School (from 03 to 07 December 2007). The objective is to provide a tutorial course for those who speak Portuguese or Spanish.
This course will provide a brief introduction to the GUM and its supplements. The level is suitable for attendees that have received training at least to the second year of a science or engineering based degree course. No previous knowledge of the GUM is assumed. The focus of the course will be on the recent evolution of thinking regarding measurement uncertainty, especially in terms of placing the subject on a firmer probabilistic footing, and hence removing some of the perceived inconsistencies.
