To make sure that the measurement in the fields where legal metrology operates is entirely accurate, Inmetro is present nationwide, inspecting instruments of measurement and of previously measured goods, by its authorized delegates in every state of Brazil. In their majority, they are better known as IPEM (Weight and Measure Institute).

Inspection of Quality is an activity that consists of the accompaniment of certified and regulated products (textile and low voltage goods) available in the consumer market.

Such accompaniment is aimed at making sure these products are in accordance with the valid standards
and Technical Regulations, since its conformity is a guarantee for the good health and safety of those who consume it.
