The General Coordination for Accreditation of Inmetro (Cgcre) is the accreditation body of conformity assessment bodies recognized by the Brazilian Government.

The Decree No. 6,275, of November 28th, 2007, establishes that the General Coordination for Accreditation of Inmetro (Cgcre) is responsible for operating as the accreditation body of conformity assessment bodies. Therefore, Cgcre is, in the organizational structure of Inmetro, the main unit that is totally responsible and has total authority over all aspects concerning accreditation, including accreditation decisions.

The General Coordination for Accreditation of Inmetro acts in the accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies - CAB.
